On the Calendar page, many events are posted.  Established events, such as Rogue Night Out, appear at a regular interval.  Other events, such as Strike Forces, can appear at more random times.  Regardless of the frequency, all members and associates are able to sign up to that event.

When you click on an event, the Detail window will appear, giving more information on that event.  Below the details of the Event, there is a button named "Sign Up/Withdraw".  Clicking on this will bring up the first screen for the sign up.  You will first be presented the list of characters associated with your account.  Check off the character that is going to attend the event and hit the "Save" button.  The next screen will bring you to a few options.  First, there is the availability options.  For the Entropy Legion site, you have the following attendance options:

  • Available - Would like to go
  • Tentative - Would like to go, but RL might interfere
  • Alternate - Available if nobody else can fill the spot
  • Wait List - Slots full but on stand-by
  • Confirmed - Slot reserved for you
  • Canceled - the member can no longer attend

The next option on that page is the Role page.  Since this is an RP group, we have dispensed with the usual options of "DPS", "Tank", or "Off-Tank" and have more RP based roles.  The roles are:

  • Got a Plot to run
  • just going to roll with the punches
  • looking to gain some lvl
  • want to establish my character a bit more

This just indicates what you are hoping to get out of a particular event.  It gives the Event Host an idea if there is adaption on the night, what that might lean towards to accommodate the people attending.

One of the options in Role, the "Got a Plot to run", is used for RP nights and standard grind nights.  If you have an AE mission that you would like to run, say so by choosing this option.  An Event Admin will then make you the host for that night/event.  If you see someone else has claimed that night, either talk to that person or pick another night, but don't also claim "Got a Plot", as that can be considered a bit rude.

Signing up to an Event is mostly a courtesy to the Host of that event.  It let's them know who can and who can't attend.  Signing up really is important for special events such as Strike Forces, because if there are not enough players attending, it could cause a cancelation of the Event.  Now, if you don't sign up ahead of time, nobody is going to not let you not attend the event.  Everyone is always welcome to do any event that is posted.  It is just a courtesy to sign up ahead of time, just to get a gauge of who will be attending.  It is also just a good way for all of us to communicate with each other.

So sign up when you can and I'll see everyone on the Red Side.
